Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Clean the mussels under cold running water, scrubbing the shells. Discard any open mussels.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in white wine, deglaze the pan, and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until reduced.
  4. Add cleaned mussels to the skillet, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until opened.
  5. Fold in the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until shrimp is pink and opaque.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for another 3-5 minutes until thicker.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and zest, chopped parsley, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra parsley and pairing with bread or pasta.
