- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, kosher salt, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Season the flank steak with freshly cracked black pepper and the remaining salt. Place in a baking dish or zip-top bag, pour the marinade over, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 450°F to 500°F.
- Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Place on the grill and cook for about 5-8 minutes per side, flipping only once.
- Transfer the grilled steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
