Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, kosher salt, and brown sugar until well combined.
  2. Season the flank steak with freshly cracked black pepper and the remaining salt. Place in a baking dish or zip-top bag, pour the marinade over, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 450°F to 500°F.
  4. Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Place on the grill and cook for about 5-8 minutes per side, flipping only once.
  5. Transfer the grilled steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
