Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the Ice Cream Maker by freezing the bowl for at least 24 hours.
  2. Combine heavy cream, coconut milk, sugar, and cream de coconut in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  3. Add crushed pineapple and salt to the warm mixture; cool to room temperature.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, ideally up to 3 hours.
  5. Churn the mixture in the ice cream maker for 20-25 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
  6. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 10-12 hours for a firm texture.
  7. Serve in bowls topped with optional toasted coconut and maraschino cherries.
