- Begin by placing your softened unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed for about 1-2 minutes until it's creamy and smooth.
- Next, add half of the pumpkin flavored cream cheese to the bowl with your beaten butter. Continue mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Now, add the remaining pumpkin cream cheese, along with the vanilla extract and fine sea salt. Beat the mixture until well combined.
- Gradually add 2 cups of powdered sugar, beating on low speed until incorporated, then increase to medium speed for another minute.
- Check the frosting's consistency; if it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time.
- If the frosting is too soft, place it in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes before using.
