Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until smooth to form a dough.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly until fully incorporated.
  3. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into smooth balls. Optionally roll in powdered sugar.
  6. Place the cookie balls on the sheets, spacing 2 inches apart, and bake for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Remove and let rest for 1–2 minutes, then press a chocolate kiss into each cookie.
  8. Transfer cooled cookies to a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
