For the Filling
  • 2 cups Diced Strawberries Fresh or thawed frozen berries.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: oats, flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the oil or melted butter and combine to create a crumbly dough.
  4. Press two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix diced strawberries with cornstarch and maple syrup until coated.
  6. Spread the strawberry filling over the pressed oat base, then sprinkle the reserved oat mixture on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting.
