Steps for Preparation

  2. Rinse and pat dry fresh strawberries, then slice evenly into thin rounds.
  3. Spread the cream cheese filling over one side of a fajita-size flour tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges. Layer the sliced strawberries on top.
  4. Melt 1-2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle a pinch of sugar and cinnamon into the melted butter, then place the assembled tortilla into the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once golden brown, fold the quesadilla in half, remove from skillet, drizzle with honey if desired, and cut into wedges to serve immediately.
