  • 1 pound beef thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce or mushroom sauce for vegetarian option
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey/agave
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic freshly minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger freshly minced
For the Noodles and Veggies
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice noodles cooked as per package instructions
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli cut into florets
  • 2 green onions for garnish sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Mix well and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger.
  3. Cook egg or rice noodles as per package instructions until al dente, then drain and toss with oil.
  4. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and stir-fry the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. In the same skillet, stir-fry bell pepper and broccoli for 3-4 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp.
  6. Return beef to the skillet, add sauce, and toss in cooked noodles. Heat through for another 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
