Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Crack the Eggs: Gently tap the hard-boiled eggs on a hard surface to create fine cracks on the shells.
  2. Prepare the Soaking Solution: Combine water, black food coloring gel, and white vinegar in a bowl.
  3. Soak the Eggs: Submerge cracked eggs in the soaking solution and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  4. Rinse and Peel: Rinse the eggs under cool water and peel the shells to reveal the spiderweb pattern.
  5. Prepare the Filling: Cut eggs in half, scoop the yolks into a bowl, and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add Color & Garnish: Stir black food coloring into the filling mixture and pipe it back into the egg whites.
  7. Finish with Garnishes: Dust with smoked paprika and sprinkle black sesame seeds; optionally add chopped chives.
