  • 750 ml Tequila Blanco
  • 1 Jalapeño Quartered
  • 1 medium Cucumber Cut into 1/2" slices
For the Rim
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 whole Lime Wedges
For the Cocktail
  • 60 ml Orange Liqueur (Cointreau) Or triple sec as an alternative
  • 30 ml Fresh Lime Juice Always use fresh over bottled

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Quarter a jalapeño and place it in a jar with the tequila. Muddle gently, add cucumber slices, seal, and let infuse for 8 to 12 hours.
  2. Prepare the glasses by mixing equal parts granulated sugar and kosher salt in a bowl. Wet rims with lime wedges and dip into the mixture.
  3. In a shaker, combine 2 oz. of infused tequila, 1 oz. of orange liqueur, and 3/4 oz. of lime juice. Shake vigorously with ice for about 30 seconds.
  4. Strain the cocktail into prepared glasses filled with ice and garnish with lime wedges and jalapeño slices.
