Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Sift together the all-purpose flour, corn starch, baking powder, and lemon zest.
  3. Beat together the unsalted butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond essence until combined.
  5. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  6. Chill the dough in plastic wrap for 15-20 minutes if too soft.
  7. Roll out the dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut out bunny shapes.
  8. Bake for 9-10 minutes until edges are set and cookies are pale.
  9. Let baked cookies cool on wire racks before frosting.
  10. Beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar.
  11. Incorporate vanilla extract and milk to adjust frosting consistency.
  12. Pipe frosting onto cooled cookies and decorate with sprinkles.
  13. Arrange cookies on a platter and share with friends and family.
