Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook for about 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Carefully add the rinsed and dried sea scallops to the skillet. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Lower the heat and add chopped basil, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir in heavy cream if desired.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well-coated with the lemon-butter sauce.
  6. Plate hot, garnishing with grated Parmesan cheese if desired, and serve immediately.
