- In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, Chinese cooking wine, dark soy sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper. Whisk together until well mixed and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat and pour in a tablespoon of your chosen neutral oil. Add minced garlic and finely chopped onion. Sauté for approximately 1 minute until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Continue cooking for about 4-5 minutes until browned.
