  • 2 tbsp Gluten-Free Flour Cornstarch can be an alternative.

  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated for best flavor.

Equipment

  • large pot
  • skillet
  • Colander
  • Whisk

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the gluten-free farfalle pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta is boiling, season both sides of the New York strip steak with smoked sweet paprika, salt, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side until golden crust forms and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter, then sauté minced onion and Italian seasoning for about one minute.
  5. Whisk in gluten-free flour, then gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, cooking until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if too thick.
  7. Toss cooked farfalle pasta in the skillet with the creamy sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Slice the rested steak and gently fold it into the pasta. Serve with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs.
