  • 1 cup Onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce use gluten-free for a gluten-free version
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme substitute with fresh herbs if desired
For the Gravy
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch mixed with water
For the Garlic Herb Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 lb Potatoes (Yukon Gold recommended)
  • 1/2 cup Milk or to taste
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Mix gently.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Sauté additional onions and garlic in olive oil for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, then add cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  7. Boil diced Yukon Gold potatoes with garlic until tender, then drain.
  8. Mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt, pepper, and parsley until smooth.
  9. Serve the meatballs over the garlic herb mashed potatoes with gravy on top.
