- Wash and slice 2 cups of fresh strawberries. In a saucepan, combine with 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup water. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes until syrupy and fragrant. Strain and cool to room temperature.
- While the syrup cools, boil 2 cups of water. Remove from heat, add 3-4 tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove bags and stir in 1/4 cup granulated sugar until dissolved. Set aside to cool.
- Combine cooled strawberry syrup with brewed tea in a large pitcher. Add 2 cups of cold water and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Stir thoroughly.
- Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour the Strawberry Iced Tea over the ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and sliced strawberries.
