  1. Begin by pitting your fresh cherries. If using frozen cherries, allow them to thaw at room temperature.
  2. In a sturdy blender, combine the pitted cherries with 2 cups of filtered water and the cane sugar. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended cherry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher to collect the juice.
  4. Add the remaining cup of filtered water and freshly squeezed lime juice from about 8 to 10 limes to the strained mixture.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the cherry limeade over, and garnish with fresh lime slices.
