Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 24 cookies Oreo cookies Can substitute with traditional ladyfingers for a classic tiramisu.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Ensure it's cold for optimal whipping.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar Can be reduced for a less sweet result.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For the best taste, use pure vanilla extract.
  • 1 cup Mascarpone cheese Cream cheese can be substituted, but flavors will vary slightly.
For Soaking
  • 1-1.5 cups Brewed coffee Espresso can be used for a stronger coffee kick.
For the Ganache
  • 4 ounces Dark chocolate Substitute milk chocolate for a sweeter flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream Ensure both are heated carefully to avoid burning.
For Decoration
  • 2 ounces White chocolate Can be replaced with melted chocolate chips if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon Oil Vegetable or canola oil works well.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • electric mixer
  • microwave
  • Shallow Dish
  • spatula
  • piping bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and granulated sugar. Beat on medium-high until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, blend mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream in thirds.
  3. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Brew coffee and let it cool to room temperature. Pour into a shallow dish.
  5. Dip each Oreo briefly into the cooled coffee and arrange them in a single layer in the dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the dipped Oreos.
  7. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped Oreos on top.
  8. Pour the remaining mascarpone mixture over the second layer, smoothing it out.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  10. Combine dark chocolate and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat until smooth and shiny.
  11. Combine white chocolate and oil in a bowl and microwave until melted.
  12. Spread ganache evenly over chilled dessert and drizzle with melted white chocolate.
  13. Garnish with crushed Oreos around the edges and top with a whole Oreo in the center.

Notes

Allow your Oreo Tiramisu to chill overnight for the best flavor. Quick dips in coffee will keep Oreos crunchy, and ensure heavy cream is cold for whipping.
