Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz. linguine can swap with fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt add for seasoning water
For the Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter can substitute with olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped adjust based on preference
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes omit if no spice is desired
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine choose favorable types like Pinot Grigio
For the Clams
  • 2 dozen littleneck clams, scrubbed fresh is best
For Serving
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley can substitute with basil or cilantro
  • 1 Juice lemon plus wedges for serving
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add linguine and cook until al dente, around 9-11 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add clams and wine to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes until clams open. Discard closed clams.
  4. Add drained linguine to the skillet. Squeeze lemon juice and add parsley. Toss for 1-2 minutes over low heat.
  5. Plate immediately, garnishing with more parsley and lemon wedges. Serve hot.
