Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz Linguine or Spaghetti Feel free to substitute with penne or fettuccine.
For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb Shrimp (peeled and deveined) Use fresh for the best results or thawed frozen.
For the Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter Opt for high-quality butter.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice Fresh is best.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh minced preferred.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup White Wine or Chicken Broth Vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped) Can replace with basil.
  • Salt & Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and stir in minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add white wine or chicken broth, scraping up brown bits. Simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Lower heat and whisk in unsalted butter until melted, then mix in lemon juice and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine cooked pasta and shrimp in the skillet with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to coat the pasta.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and lemon zest if desired.
