Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine the almond flour, psyllium husk, mozzarella, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix in the egg thoroughly until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Gradually add warm water until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into four equal balls and flatten each to ½ inch thick.
  5. Preheat skillet, adding butter or oil until shimmering.
  6. Fry the arepas for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from skillet, let rest for a few minutes.
  8. Slice open each arepa and fill with desired ingredients.
