Step-by-Step Instructions

  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

  6. Chill both halves in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out both portions of dough into rectangles.
  8. Stack the colored dough on the plain dough and roll into a log.
  9. Chill the log again in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  10. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets.
  11. Slice the log into rounds and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  12. Allow cookies to cool on the sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
