Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak the Rice: Rinse sticky rice until water is clear, then soak in cold water for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Prepare Steamer: Drain, place rice in heatproof bowl, steam for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  3. Make Sauce: Heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan until sugar dissolves. Add cornstarch slurry if desired.
  4. Combine Rice and Sauce: Mix cooked rice with 1 cup of coconut sauce, fold until absorbed.
  5. Serve: Spoon rice into bowls, top with mango slices, drizzle with more sauce, and add sesame seeds if desired.
