  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper White pepper can be used for a different flavor.

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, warm water, and oil. Stir until the ingredients come together, then knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with chopped green onions, diced onion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, freshly grated ginger, and ¼ cup of water. Stir thoroughly and allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Once your dough has rested, divide it into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a round disc about ¼-inch thick.
  4. Place approximately 2.5 tablespoons of the beef filling in the center of each dough disc. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape, pressing edges together to seal.
  5. Lightly pat water on the sealed side of each pie and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add pies in batches and cook for about 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
