Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Flatten chicken breasts using a meat mallet to about 1/2 inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up a breading station with beaten eggs mixed with milk, flour, and seasoned breadcrumbs. Dip chicken in egg, coat with flour, then press into breadcrumbs.
  3. Place breaded chicken on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and juices run clear.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, then add milk gradually. Stir until thickened, then mix in Dijon mustard.
  5. Slice bread and spread salted butter on the outside. Layer ham, Swiss cheese, and baked chicken on one slice, pouring creamy sauce over the top before covering with another slice.
  6. Heat a skillet or panini maker to medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 6-8 minutes until bread is golden and cheese melts.
  7. Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve hot with any remaining sauce drizzled on top.
