  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and lemon zest, then whisk in flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter and egg until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to create the crust layer.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Fold in fresh blueberries until evenly coated, then pour over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining mixture over the blueberries, covering them completely and leaving gaps for visual appeal.
