Ingredients

For the Bread
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted Irish butter adds richness and moisture; substitute with unsalted regular butter if needed
  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour provides structure and body; gluten-free flour can be used with adjustments
  • 2 tablespoons sugar enhances flavor balance; can replace with honey or agave syrup for a natural sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder leavening agent for a light texture; ensure it is fresh for effectiveness
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt enhances flavor; sea salt or Himalayan salt can be used
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder adds savory depth; fresh garlic could be substituted if preferred
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder complements garlic; can be omitted if necessary
  • 1 cup Irish cheddar cheese provides a key flavor component; other cheeses can be used, but flavor may vary
  • 1 cup Irish beer contributes moisture and flavor; substitute with any beer you enjoy for personal preference
