Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu Dessert
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 3–5 minutes. Fold in mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix cooled espresso with amaretto liqueur. Let it sit for a minute to meld.
  3. Dip ladyfingers quickly in the mixture and place in a single layer in a 9x9-inch dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then add half of the cherry preserves and some halved fresh cherries.
  5. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers, remaining mascarpone, cherry preserves, and cherries.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight.
  7. Dust with cocoa powder before serving and garnish with fresh cherries or shaved chocolate.
  8. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
