Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by preparing your ingredients: chop celery and onion, and cube stale bread.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add celery and onion, sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Incorporate 1 pound of sage sausage into the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the sausage and vegetables with bread cubes, broth, sage, thyme, and eggs.
  5. Allow the mixture to rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to create a crispy top.
