  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning swap for dried herbs like oregano or basil
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika optional for flavor enhancement

  • 1 cup Beef Broth vegetable broth is a good alternative
  • 1/4 cup Milk use dairy-free milk if preferred
  • for garnish Fresh Parsley optional for presentation

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet, then brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and cook for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
  4. Spread the beef mixture in the greased baking dish, layer thinly sliced potatoes on top, and season.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan, then pour beef broth around the edges.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
