Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cut the block of mozzarella into twelve sticks, each about 3-4 inches long and ½ inch thick.
- Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, salt, and pepper; the second with beaten eggs; and the third with panko and fine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick in the flour mixture, dip in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Place coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet, space apart, and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat oil to 350°F in a deep fryer or skillet. Ensure it’s ready while sticks chill.
- Fry mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning halfway.
- Remove from oil, let excess drain on paper towels, and serve immediately with dipping sauce.

Notes
For best results, double coat the mozzarella sticks and chill them before frying to prevent leaking cheese.
