Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 package Crescent Roll Dough or substitute with puff pastry for an airier texture
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Spinach fresh is ideal, but frozen works if well-drained
  • 1 cup Artichoke Hearts canned artichokes are convenient
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese can replace with Greek yogurt for a lighter option
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream can use more cream cheese or omit for a lighter filling
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese swap for mozzarella or gouda if desired
  • 1 cup Cooked Bacon optional, use crispy bacon for crunch
  • 1/2 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes for vibrant profiles
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs optional, consider Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Other Cheeses experiment with feta or pepper jack for added flavor depth

Equipment

  • Mini Muffin Tin
  • Baking Tray
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Cut the dough into rounds and press each round into the greased muffin tins.
  3. Utilize any leftover dough to cut out bunny ears and bake them on a parchment-lined tray for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Bake the dough-filled cups for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and then create small wells in the center of each cup.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, and cheddar cheese until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spoon the creamy mixture into each well of your baked dough cups and press a bunny ear on top.
  7. Return the filled muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until the bunny ears are golden and the filling bubbles.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving warm.
