Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, combine 12 oz of frozen mixed berries, 1½ cups of granulated sugar, and 1¼ cups of water. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Juice enough fresh lemons to yield 1 cup of lemon juice and strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
- Strain the syrup into a bowl, pressing solids to extract juice.
- In a pitcher, combine 1 cup of lemon juice, 1⅓ cups of syrup, and 6 cups of cold water. Stir well.
- Serve with lemon slices in glasses filled with ice.
