Preparation
- Rinse the scallops under cold water and remove the foot. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Combine softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, paprika in a bowl. Mix well and fold in Parmesan.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and arrange scallop shells or a baking dish.
- Place scallops in shells or baking dish and top with compound butter.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until opaque and firm.
- Combine melted butter with panko breadcrumbs and sprinkle on top of cooked scallops.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes until topping is golden brown.
