Preparation Steps
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, peanut butter, and honey or maple syrup. Stir until a sticky mixture forms.
- Add a pinch of salt and vanilla extract if desired. Mix until well combined.
- Prepare an 8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper. Press the oat mixture evenly into the dish.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press them gently into the surface.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
- Once set, lift the parchment paper to remove the cups and slice into squares.
