  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter can use almond or cashew butter as alternatives
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup agave syrup is a great vegan substitute
  • 1 pinch salt omit if your peanut butter is already salted

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, peanut butter, and honey or maple syrup. Stir until a sticky mixture forms.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and vanilla extract if desired. Mix until well combined.
  3. Prepare an 8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper. Press the oat mixture evenly into the dish.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press them gently into the surface.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Once set, lift the parchment paper to remove the cups and slice into squares.
