  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted; coconut oil can be used for dairy-free version.
  • cup Guinness Any stout beer can be substituted.
  • ¼ cup Chocolate Milk You can use any milk type.
For the Frosting
  • 2 cups Confectioners' Sugar No substitutions required.
  • tablespoons Unsalted Butter Can swap with vegan butter.
  • 4-5 tablespoons Irish Whiskey Vanilla extract can be used for non-alcoholic version.
  • 1-3 drops Green Food Coloring Optional; can omit if preferred.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and lightly spray your donut pan with cooking oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, Guinness, and chocolate milk until smooth.
  4. Gently combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined and lumpy.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and fill the donut pan cavities about ¾ full.
  6. Bake the filled donut pan for 8-10 minutes until light and springy.
  7. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 3-5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the frosting by whisking together confectioners' sugar, unsalted butter, salt, and Irish whiskey until creamy.
  9. Add green food coloring to the frosting if desired and stir well.
  10. Frost the cooled donuts with the Irish whiskey frosting and add sprinkles if desired.
