Step-by-Step Instructions for Churro Cruffins
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares or rectangles.
  2. Place your desired filling into the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners inward and pinch the edges to seal.
  3. Roll each filled pastry tightly to create a cylinder. Bend into a U-shape and place into a muffin tin.
  4. Pour enough oil into a deep frying pan to submerge the cruffins halfway. Heat to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Lower the cruffins into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and toss in cinnamon sugar while still hot.
  7. Serve warm straight from the fryer for the best texture and flavor.
