Step-by-Step Instructions for Churro Cruffins
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares or rectangles.
- Place your desired filling into the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners inward and pinch the edges to seal.
- Roll each filled pastry tightly to create a cylinder. Bend into a U-shape and place into a muffin tin.
- Pour enough oil into a deep frying pan to submerge the cruffins halfway. Heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Lower the cruffins into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and toss in cinnamon sugar while still hot.
