- Begin by straining the full-fat cottage cheese using a fine mesh sieve. Allow it to drain for about 15 minutes to remove excess liquid, which will enhance the creaminess.
- In a food processor, combine the strained cottage cheese, creamy natural peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Add a pinch of salt if desired. Blend for approximately 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and velvety.
- Check the texture of your mousse; if it's too thick, gradually add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk while blending. Continue blending for another 15 to 30 seconds until light and airy.
- Transfer the blended mousse into a bowl and cover. Place it in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
- Once chilled, spoon the mousse into small bowls or jars. Top with fresh fruits, chopped nuts, honey, or chocolate shavings before serving.
