  • 150 g Butter unsalted butter preferred
  • 200 g Dark Chocolate semi-sweet can be used
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest use fresh zest for best flavor
  • 3 large Eggs for consistency
  • 250 g Caster Sugar granulated sugar can be used
  • 100 g Plain Flour gluten-free flour can be used
  • 50 g Cocoa Powder ensure unsweetened
  • 100 g Dark Chocolate Orange can replace with regular dark chocolate

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Chocolate Orange Brownies
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) or gas mark 4. Line a 24 x 20 cm brownie tin with baking parchment.
  2. Melt 150g of butter and 200g of dark chocolate with the zest of one orange in a non-stick saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Whisk 3 large eggs and 250g of caster sugar together until pale and thick.
  4. Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar blend. Sift in 100g of plain flour and 50g of cocoa powder, then fold in 100g of chopped dark chocolate orange.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 35–40 minutes until set around the edges.
  6. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.
