Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions, pour into the baking pan, and bake for about 20 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, egg, vanilla, sugar, and sour cream; beat until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the baked brownies and return to oven for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the bars cool at room temperature for 30 minutes before transferring to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
- Heat cream in a saucepan until just simmering, then stir in chocolate chips until melted.
