Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Dill Dried dill may be used at one-third the quantity.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Mint Use dried mint in lesser amount.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest No direct substitutions recommended.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper White pepper can be used if preferred.
Phyllo Rolls
  • 8 sheets Phyllo Pastry Ensure it's fresh or fully thawed if frozen.
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil Opt for extra virgin for the best flavor.
Sweet Chili Honey Drizzle
  • 1/2 cup Honey Adjust for desired sweetness.
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes Modify based on heat preference.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Key for perfect flavor contrast.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine crumbled feta cheese, fresh dill, chopped mint, lemon zest, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Layer phyllo pastry sheets, brushing with olive oil between each sheet.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo into four equal strips.
  5. Place about one tablespoon of feta filling at one end of each phyllo strip.
  6. Fold the sides and roll tightly from the filled end to form a cylinder.
  7. Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush tops with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Combine honey, chili flakes, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat until runny.
  10. Drizzle warm sweet chili honey over baked rolls and serve.
