- Wash the apples thoroughly, core and slice them into thin rounds about 1/8 inch thick.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 1 cup of water, soak the apple slices for 5 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon over both sides of the dried apple slices, and add sugar if desired.
- Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Transfer to a cooling rack and allow to cool completely before serving.
