  • 8 oz crab meat fresh, canned, or imitation
  • 2 whole green onions chopped; substitute with chives or shallots if desired
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce adds umami and saltiness

  • to taste black pepper used for seasoning
For the Dough
  • 16 oz refrigerated biscuit dough can also use wonton wrappers
  • for frying oil choose cooking spray for healthier option

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cold cream cheese, drained crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Flatten each biscuit slightly until round and about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of crab filling into the center of each biscuit. Fold the edges over and pinch to seal.
  4. For frying, heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry for 2–3 minutes per side. For baking, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 12-14 minutes. For air frying, set to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, cool on a wire rack to prevent sogginess. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
