Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cornstarch, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add cold water until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dip chicken into batter and fry in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger. Simmer and stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest, and toss fried chicken in the sauce to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
