  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or regular sweet paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste or omit
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes, pat dry, and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the seasoned chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add diced onion, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the skillet, scraping any browned bits and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and unsalted butter, allowing to simmer for 5-8 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add smoked paprika and cayenne pepper, season with salt and pepper, then return chicken to the skillet.
  7. Simmer on low for around 3 minutes to heat the chicken through and coat in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with steamed rice or garlic bread.
