Making the Peppermint Hot Chocolate
  1. In a medium saucepan, pour 2 cups of whole milk or almond milk and heat over medium-low until tiny bubbles form, avoiding boiling.
  2. Gradually add 100 grams of chopped dark or semi-sweet chocolate to the warmed milk, whisk continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract and 1 teaspoon of sugar; whisk until all ingredients are combined and taste-adjust accordingly.
  4. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture shimmers and is aromatic.
