Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the ingredients by chopping the onion, carrots, and celery into small pieces. Mince the garlic and layer the chicken at the bottom of the slow cooker with the chopped vegetables. Sprinkle with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper, then add butter for richness.
  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours.
  3. After 2 hours, uncover and pour in the chicken broth. Stir gently, then cover again and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken, shred it, and discard the herbs. Return the chicken to the pot.
