Step-by-Step Instructions for Christmas Cakesicles
  1. Begin by crumbling leftover cooled cake into a large mixing bowl. Add enough frosting to create a moist, dough-like consistency that holds together.
  2. Melt your first color of candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-30 second intervals and stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted candy coating into the ice cream silicone molds, spreading it evenly along the sides and bottom to create a uniform layer.
  4. Once the candy coating has hardened, gently press popsicle sticks into the center of each mold.
  5. Return the molds to the freezer for another 10-15 minutes to let the sticks secure and the coating to set.
  6. Fill each mold with the cake pop dough, pressing gently to avoid breaking the candy coating.
  7. Cover the top of each filled mold with the remaining melted candy coating, smoothing it out.
  8. Carefully peel the silicone molds away from the cakesicles after they are firm.
  9. Finally, decorate the unmolded cakesicles with additional melted candy coating and festive decorations.
