  • 1/3 cup Hot Pepper Jelly jalapeño or habanero varieties
For Garnish
  • Fresh Thyme Leaves or Chopped Parsley optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter. Blend until creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese until fully incorporated.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, salt, and optional garlic powder. Combine until a dough forms, around 3–4 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
  7. Create a small indentation in the center of each dough ball with your thumb.
  8. Fill each indentation with about ½ teaspoon of hot pepper jelly.
  9. Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden edges appear.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
