  • 10.5 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup can substitute with cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Milk or Beef Broth for creamier texture
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese freshly grated preferred
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked paprika can be used
  • to taste Salt and Pepper season according to preference
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Additional Shredded Cheese for topping
Optional Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Parsley for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and diced onion. Cook for 7-10 minutes until browned and onions are translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour over the cooked meat and onion.
  5. In the prepared baking dish, layer the cooked rice, beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese, mixing gently.
  6. Top the casserole with the remaining cheddar cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for an extra 2 minutes if desired.
  8. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
